[destinationuab] incoming student fall

Hey all,

My name is Divya. I will be coming for my PhD in Pathobio and Mol
Medicine program this fall. I was looking for apartments within
walking distance from UAB, which are both safe and affordable. If any
of you can help me or suggest some places it would be great. If any of
you are looking for female roomies, we can talk and decide, I will be
interested to share. I am comfortable with the idea of 2bed/2bath
apartment, a laundry unit inside apartment would be great as well.
If any of you are from the biomedical/pathobio programs it would be
great if you can share information about the department on the whole,
the courses etc.

[destinationuab] Looking for a Roommate

Hi Guys. I am looking for a roommate for my double bed apartment in Highland Ridge (1608, 14th Ave S). It is nice and spacious and I maintain it pretty well. My current roommate is moving out by the end of this month and any time after that should be fine with me. Rental for the apartment is 595$ per month and the total expenditure per month comes around 700$ including internet and electricity (that will be about 350$ per head).

1. If you are posting something in destinationuab, please make sure that you have your contact information in there so that the ppl interested can contact you directly rather than going through destinationuab.

2. If you see some post via destinationuab and want to reply to the person who posted it, please make sure you have his/her email ID while replying and NOT destinationuab@googlegroups.com. Because the reply mails are of personal interest I cant forward them in the group and hence will not be sent to the author of the post.

Hello all,
ICA is hosting a Garba Night this Friday at 7pm in The Great Hall.
Admission is Free and Free Indian Food & Dandiya Sticks will be
provided. For people not experienced with garba dancing, they will
have free lessons a half hour before the event (7-7:30). and At 7:30,
the garba will begin, followed by a puja, and then raas. Hope you all
